Restorative Healing

If you, or anyone you know, has had an experience with or is recovering from a surgery, stress, or a debilitating illness or injury  and would like to start moving again and getting back on track, this yoga program may be for you. A gentle program, it is based on hatha yoga but has been modified for those who are experiencing stiffness, pain, stress or fatigue. Class sizes are small to ensure individual attention and safety. NO experience is necessary.

 

Gentle Restorative 

This practise is a combination of simple gentle active movement and passive supported postures that will increase mobility and breathing while quieting the mind by supporting the body. In non-active postures and very gentle postures designed to mobilize the spine and major joints we learn to listen deeply and look within for renewal and restoration. With slow mindful movement we ease away the stress of everyday life and relieve chronic tightness in preparation for deep stillness. Cushions, blankets and pillows are used to support the body while the students are guided through deep breathing and mindfulness practices to create a deep state of relaxation and renewal.

No experience is necessary.
