Level I

This practice is designed to solidify and build on beginning yoga postures and concepts. It’s suitable for returning students or those with some familiarity of classical hatha yoga.

 

In this practice, we continue to work with poses and concepts introduced in the foundations course. New postures are added as our confidence and understanding deepen. We emphasize postural alignment and learn how to adapt each posture to safely suit our individual needs. Breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques are also integrated into each class in order to offer a well rounded and balanced practice each week.

 

Students are also encouraged in various ways to develop a regular home-based practice using the tools, techniques and practices learned in class.
